Learning to Live Alone
2019 | Digital Hand Drawn Animation, Digital Compositing | 08:02
Learning to Live Alone is the compilation of an “animated comic” that King posted to instagram throughout 2019. King used the daily drawn comics as a means to produce and share work quickly, feeding into the serieal nature and autobiographical subject matter. Using drawing and animation similar to a daily journal, King explores ideas of mental health, dating, coming out, and more. King cites Josh Engel’s rapidly released instagram comic as inspiration for the work.
