Everything Has Been Changing
2020 | looping animations
Everything Has Been Changing is a small body of work that explores an animation technique known as “weaving loops”. This method uses a fixed number of frames that are “recycled and redrawn” to create complex looping animation. The animations were made at the beginning of the Covid lockdowns. King projected the original weaving loop onto a rock formation at a local nature preserve. A second iteration was made for an After Hours Animation collaborative project. After Hours Animation is a virtual community space for experimental animators that was started during Covid.
